Illustration Commissions
My pastel artwork is meant to celebrate the places and things that hold special a piece of your heart. While much of my artwork has been for weddings, I’m excited to expand my offerings to commemorate other life moments and memories. Whether you’re looking to preserve a place, home, pet, or something more, I’d love to chat with you about your project!
Choose Your Subject
*At this time, I do not offer portraits of people or live wedding paintings.
Venue Illustrations
Venue illustrations bring your wedding day to life in your stationery suite. You may commission a custom piece or use a New Orleans wedding venue illustration from my gallery.
Crests & Monograms
Great for weddings and anniversaries, a custom crest adds meaning, style, and personalization to your event. You will receive a digital file to use across your decor, or we can use it in your custom stationery suite.
Coming soon: Pet Portraits
I’m looking forward to offering pet portraits starting in summer 2025! Follow me on Instagram @camelliamemoriesdesigns to watch my progress! I’ll be drawing this picture of my own sweet pup, Beignet, this spring.
The Custom Illustration Process
Consultation
We start with a 15-minute Zoom call where we’ll discuss your artwork. You’ll also get to share pictures of your subject, if applicable, at this time.
Sketch
After the deposit is received, I’ll create a mockup or sketch of your custom illustration for you to approve the layout and viewpoint before committing to the full drawing.
Illustration
Now the magic begins! I’ll bring your artwork to life in vivid color using my soft pastels. You’ll have the chance to ask for tweaks before approving and receiving your artwork.
My Signature Medium:
Soft Pastels
Each of my pastel paintings are hand-drawn with loving attention to color and detail. Soft pastels are a dry, chalky medium that produces colorful, realistic illustrations. Each drawing is created on gritty archival paper that traps and holds the pigments. Once the illustration is completed, I sign and seal the work with a sealant spray to prevent smudging.
